Wear to Work Fashion on an Intern’s Budget

Dressing for work can be a struggle let alone trying to do it on the budget of an intern! I have posted some outfits that are cute, classy, and affordable! These outfits are perfect for interns and CEOs alike.

I have been loving jumpsuits lately! They can be dressed up or kept more causal and don’t requite any effort to look good. Regular rompers are great in the summer time for the same reasons but a jumper can be used through every season to create a great look.

Jumpsuit: Old Navy
Necklace: The Blvd. similar here
Shoes: Steve Madden (I got mine at TJ Maxx but they’re on 6pm for a great price here!)

My LulaRoe Julia dress is another go to. It is so comfortable and looks great too! The bodycon style paired with the length are that simple yet stylish look I believe is perfect in an office setting. The colors that LulaRoe carries stand out against the minimal color you typically see in 9-5 jobs which there is nothing wrong with that but I mean why not stand out against the crowd, especially in an internship. This blue compliments summer time in the city so well and with the nude heels you can pull together a timeless, trendy look.

Dress: LulaRoe Julia from my favorite consultant Lyndsie! Shop her gorgeous feed here.
Shoes: Jessica Simpson. I purchased at Tj Maxx but found on 6pm here.
Necklace: Francesca’s. I couldn’t track this one down but any simple and long necklace would look great!

I don’t know about you guys, but I always find myself freezing in the workplace. I have no clue why I associate air conditioning with offices but as soon as I plop down at a desk, I instantly need a blanket. This romper is great for the summer heat and humidity and paired with this cardigan make a clean, minimal look. Now y’all know I am not for that minimal black and white look so I spiced this look up with an orange pendant necklace. This outfit reminds me of a Friday look because as soon as it hits 5 o’clock the cardigan can come off and you have a drinks after work outfit ready to rock and roll.

Romper: Francesca’s, similar
Cardigan: Francesca’s similar
Necklace: Similar from Kendra Scott here
Shoes: Madden Girl. Similar here

A simple black shift should be in every woman’s closet. There is no better feeling than whipping out a go to dress and having an outfit in five minutes flat. I love this number from Old Navy because I can make so many outfits using this as the base. The gray cardigan adds a little something more but it looks great with or without it.

Dress: Old Navy
Cardigan: Similar from Kohl’s here
Necklace: Target similar from their BaubleBar collab here
Shoes: I used the same Steve Madden shoes as my first outfit!

This shirt is so flown and comfortable which is amazing in the Virginia humidity. I love the high neckline and the longer length for a more put together look. Jeans are usually so casual but there is something about a nice top and shoes with black jeans that makes me look and feel like I am about to slay the world.

Shirt: Target
Jeans: also Target
Shoes: the same booties as outfit 3!

I hope you guys enjoy my finds and come up with some great outfits to rock every office! Target, Tj Maxx, and Old Navy are great stores to find affordable work wear that looks great too! Who said “wear to work” had to be boring? 😉
