When I recieved my first NYFW Invitations I literally almost cried. Going to Fashion Week is such a big deal in the blogging world, at least for me. I have never been a part of something so huge and still couldn’t believe it was real even sitting in my seat for my first runway show.
I was invited to multiple shows but due to schedule conflicts could only attend one but one is better than none right y’all? I went to the Vaishali show and was super excited by what I saw. So for my non-blogger friends and those who don’t know a whole lot about NYFW, this September was the designers putting out their lines for Spring/Summer next year.
I loved the overall vibe of the Vaishali show with the unique tribal music crossed with a more modern sound. Color scheme wise, I found myself drawn to the natural, subtle colors designer Vaishali Shadangule put out. I liked the neutral tones with pops of red, blue, and yellow.
Her take on the traditional Indian(she’s a Mumbai based designer) wear and turning them into high fashion designs is amazing. I feel as though her culture doesn’t get lost in her work.
Now onto the Style Collective Blogger and Brand Party!
Style Collective(@stylecollective_) is the whole reason I got to attend NYFW. From helping my blog grow to providing ample resources for the event, I found myself going to Style Collective for all things Fashion Week. Most of you know already about the love I have for Style Collective and the value I see in it.
We had the best night chatting, sippin rose, and dancing the night away.
A huge thank you to Annie(@annie_spano), the founder and a girl boss I admire a lot, for making this event great. I drug Jesse along and I actually think he had a great time.
My “Instagram Husband”(@jet_ski123) made the cutest date ever. I loved all of the ways the guys were included at the party. The “Man Cave” area was awesome and Jesse won the guys scavenger hunt!
I will definietly never forget this night. I got to meet Annie Spano, the founder of Style Collective! Can you say best day ever!? Getting to meet someone I admire so much was a dream.
I also got to meet a bunch of blogger babes I only connect with on Instagram which was so cool! Including this girl Victoria(@vlaxerg) also reppin’ the DC/NoVA area in the Big Apple.
